Asia is the oldest and, yet, fastest growing region of the world for air traffic. AmEuro's focus is serving the south east area's of Japan, the Philippines, and China, with popular locations such as Thailand, India, and Malaysia. Australia is included in this area with service to major Australian cities and some of the touristy areas. You will find flights here to less popular destinations such as the Polynesian's, New Zealand, and Russia. Some of the best places for pilots to visit are:
  • RJBB - Osaka, Japan. The airport is on a man-made island. It's a little intimidating because of you don't stop, you'll end up in the sea.
  • VHHH - Hong Kong. Popular for the same reason as Osaka, plus the approach from the east has some nice bridges to view on the way.
  • VMMC - Macau. Another man-made island airport. This one has mountains and cities on the west side. What makes this one different is that the taxyways are barely wide enough for an A380 with water on both sides.
  • RPLL - Manila, Philippines. The approach from the south is highlighted with a view of the Taal volcano.
When flying in this area add realism by flying with real approaches. Many SIDS and STARS are long and technical as to maximum altitudes and speeds to avoid causing noise pollution around large cities.
